Boston, MA— 20 June 2012 —Jon Golnik, Republican candidate for The U.S. House of Representatives for the Massachusetts Third Congressional District, will utilize Pingup to enable constituents to communicate with his campaign via text message.
Pingup, a free service that allows people to text to businesses the way they do with their friends, launched its service in Boston two weeks ago and has received significant attention and adoption among Boston businesses. Users can obtain a free account at pingup.com and can communicate with commercial entities via text.
Responsive Governance
Golnik has deployed Pingup for the purpose of making the campaign more accessible to constituents. Voters who have created a Pingup account will be able to search “Jon Golnik” or “Golnik” and open a direct line of communication to the campaign to ask policy questions or offer suggestions to the campaign from their computers, tablets or mobile devices, via text.

This is how people communicate today and we believe that Pingup gives us the ability to provide near-time responsiveness.” said Golnik.
