CARLISLE RTC ENDORSES JON GOLNIK FOR CONGRESS

Westford, MA - The Carlisle Republican Town Committee unanimously endorsed Jon Golnik for Congress, the Republican from Carlisle who is challenging Representative Niki Tsongas for the U.S. Congressional seat in Massachusetts' Third District.

"I'm truly grateful for the overwhelming support from the Carlisle RTC,” said Golnik upon hearing of the endorsement. "Carlisle is a wonderful town, where Phyllis and I have chosen to raise two beautiful kids. We are involved  in our children’s' sport teams, school plays, book clubs, you name it. Having home town support is one of the best endorsements you can get".

Golnik's message of fiscal responsibility and the need for job growth in the private sector are the talking points that have propelled him to the front lines in the upcoming race for the newly drawn Third Congressional district.

"The people are looking for a Representative who understands that these topics need to be more than just talking points. When towns like Lawrence have almost double the national average in unemployment, it is simply unacceptable to have a Representative that stifles job creation,” said Corey Lofdahl, Chair, Carlisle RTC.  “We simply can’t afford another two years under Congresswoman Tsongas’s watch.”

The Carlisle RTC joins the growing list of supporters who have publicly endorsed Golnik's campaign for Congress. Governor Paul Cellucci is Honorary Chairman of the campaign, along with the endorsements of Senator Scott Brown and Charlie Baker. Golnik has also been endorsed by the Shirley Republican Town Committee, Fitchburg Mayor Dan Mylott, Gardner Mayor Mark Hawke, as well as the New England Police Benevolent Association.
