Bay State Republicans have a choice for a change

By Jon Golnik, on May 17, 2010

Bay State Republicans have a choice for a change.

On Tuesday, this was the title of Peter Lucas’ column in the Lowell Sun. And thanks to supporters like you, this is the reality. I want to thank all of you who, over the last few days and weeks, stood in front of grocery stores, at the town dump, in the cold and hot, and rain and sun, to collect the signature needed to give Niki Tsongas a challenge this fall.

Herald calls out Tsongas on IRS boondoggle

By Jon Golnik, on May 17, 2010

Ten days ago, I sent out THIS press release about Niki Tsongas' call for more IRS employees. I challenged her on why she wants to create more government jobs, not because of a need, but because there is a new, bigger building built with taxpayer dollars.

Can You Hear Us Now?

I hope that you were able to enjoy the beautiful weekend with friends and family. I took some time off on Sunday to celebrate Easter with my wife and two children. But I was right back to the trail today in Stow, Bolton and Berlin.

JON GOLNIK QUESTIONS NIKI TSONGAS' CALL FOR MORE IRS EMPLOYEES

For Immediate Release:
April 2, 2010

CARLISLE - 5th District Congressional Candidate Jon Golnik responds to Niki Tsongas' call for more IRS employees:

"Let me get this straight. Niki Tsongas wants to create more government jobs, not because of a need, but because there is a new, bigger building built with taxpayer dollars? Government should not be in the business are creating unnecessary jobs at a cost to taxpayers. These same taxpayers have reduced the need for IRS staff by filing electronically instead of by paper. Government should be fostering a climate for businesses to grow and hire new employees by reducing taxes and eliminating unnecessary regulations, not killing them through bills like the healthcare takeover."

A credible threat to Niki Tsongas

By Jon Golnik, on May 17, 2010

Friends,

As you know, I officially kicked off my campaign for U.S. Congress last Wednesday in Maynard with more than 120 supporters. While I have been actively campaigning since last fall, this marked a major milestone for our campaign as we seek to give the people of the 5th District better representation in Washington.

Tomorrow marks the end of the fundraising period, and it would mean a lot to my family and me if you would use this occasion to give or increase your financial support for my candidacy. Every contribution, large (the limit is $2,400) and small, means a great deal to me and will have a distinct impact on this race.
